Training Opportunities
We have multiple training opportunities for community members and service providers. Some active training opportunities are listed below:
ACB Youth Peer Educator Training
Rainbow Resilience Peer Service Navigation Training
This six-month training opportunity is for African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) immigrant, refugee, non-status, and newcomer (IRNN) youth who are living with HIV, are 30 years of age or younger, and live in the Greater Toronto Area.
The training covers:
- Peer leadership and community-based work
- Sexual health and HIV education
- Supporting other young people and connecting them with services
- Communication, outreach, and engagement skills
Participants will build practical skills through interactive learning and reflection. Compensation is provided for participation, and your privacy will be respected throughout the application and training process.

This training opportunity is for peers with lived experience as immigrant, refugee, non-status, or newcomer (IRNN) people who identify as LGBTQ+. Peers from Eastern, Western, and Central Ontario will be considered.
The training covers:
- Introduction to peer roles and community-based work
- Service navigation and community resources
- Ethics, confidentiality, boundaries, and trauma-informed practice
- Facilitation, communication, and engagement skills
- Reflection, self-care, and ongoing development
Participants will complete evaluation activities as part of the training. Peer participants are eligible for compensation after completing the training.
