Background Correctional Officer 

Serviced 16 years as a Correctional Officer. 

Taught school in prison for 4 of those years. 

Store Clarke in prison for 3 years. 

Intake for 2 years after completing a certified course in finger printing.  

1989 Migrated to Canada, lived in Mississauga with my family. 

Worked in Federal and Provincial Half ways Houses as a Senior councillor, My Brothers Place (3) years. St Leonard Society for (4) years. 

1998 Volunteered at Black CAP, as the volunteer Coordinator. I also received an award for volunteering. 

1999 I was hired as  Men2gether Project Coordinator at Black CAP, then2001 Education Coordinator Black CAP. 2004 East Metro Youth Services HIV/AIDS outreach Coordinator. 

Joined the Black CAP’s Board served total of 9 years  terms. 

Joined the AIDS Committee of Toronto board of directors and served  three 3 year terms a total of 9 years. Volunteered with Asian Community AIDS Services, on the Education Committee for 4 years. 

Canadian AIDS Society Vice chair  of board of directors representing Ontario region Three 3 years terms. 

Toronto People With AIDS Foundation board of directors Three 3 year terms serving for 9 years. 

Chair the Clear Unit AIDS Evaluation, research initiative out of McMasters University, funded by MOH. 

Served Ontario Advisor on HIV/AIDS In Ontario, advising the Minister of Health. 

Attended 4 International AIDS Conferences, presented at 2 the Black CAP Lime in Vancouver. Vienna, Austria on behalf of PASAN on providing HIV/AIDS care in both provincials and federal prisons in  

On the steering committee of CAAT and now one  of the Co-chair of newly incorporated  CAAT. 

Member of Black CAP. Co-chair the ACCHO Council.
