New Staff Annoucement: CAAT Welcomes new coordinator Gorata Komane for phase two of Legacy Project

We are happy to announce that after a comprehensive hiring process, we have confirmed the hiring of Gorata Komane as the new Legacy Project coordinator.

Gorata comes to this work with a history of project coordination service training, sales marketing, and accounting/book-keeping experiences. She has a degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Sunderland, UK and has worked as a lecturer for two years at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in Botswana where she also developed and facilitated many educational modules and training projects.

 Gorata has been actively involved in various AIDS service organizations including Black CAP and ACCHO. She has also participated in different capacity building training activities geared towards empowering  PHAs including the Legacy Project.

Gorata started her position in June 2012.  She is housed at the CAAT offices located at Regent Park Community Health Centre. She is looking forward to work with her team to launch the new phase of the Legacy project that will include exciting new group mentoring initiatives to support effective strategies in PHA professional engagement, research and academic career pursuit, aging and retirement planning, HIV stigma reduction and self care.
