Anti-HIV stigma reduction Night at St.Matthias Church Fri December 6!

To culminate World AIDS Week 2013, come and join us at St. Matthias Anglican Church in Trinity Bellwoods for an open dialogue about HIV Stigma Reduction with leaders from CAAT (Community for Accessible AIDS Treatment), ACAS (Asian Community AIDS Service), Black CAP (Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention) and the Anglican Church.

LGBT faith leaders, Father Jeffry Kennedy and Mother Joyce Barnett, Black CAP’s Colin Johnson, ACAS’ Andrew Miao and CAAT volunteer Derek Yee will be among the leaders to facilitate this open night of support and learning, in the hopes of bridging the gap between awareness, support and faith.

St. Matthias is an inclusive community in the Anglo-Catholic tradition. It carries on a welcoming, friendly and hospitable tradition, comprised of children and parents; young and old; able-bodied and disabled; employed and unemployed; married, single, divorced, straight and gay from the many diverse cultures of this city and beyond.
