Alessandro Ciro Bisignano
Alessandro is a Venezuelan immigrant with a career in the social service sector. Alessandro has over ten years of experience working with racialized and other structurally oppressed communities, especially those that are living with or at risk of HIV. Starting as a youth support worker, Alessandro developed a passion for capacity building, community-based research, and mentorship. Alessandro’s expertise in program development and evaluation, stakeholder engagement, community education and training, and project management comes from a combination of lived experience, professional experience, and a passion for social justice and equity. Advocacy for equitable access to health services and other determinants of health are paramount in Alessandro’s work. Alessandro is experienced in translating community needs into actionable projects that are informed and led by members of the community.
